Coach JPMD (00:00.758)
Welcome to the practice impossible podcast with your host coach JPMD. And we're now in season two, season two of the practice impossible podcast. And we're here to discuss my why, my wife for season two. Well, my wife for the podcast, as you know, and hopefully you've heard was really to help physicians understand the business of medicine. And season two was essentially

a season about learning about Medicare Advantage. I've been practicing for over 20 years and most of my practice life has been in the Medicare Advantage world, learning how to manage populations of our elderly patients. And it continues to be the focus of my practice. But what I found is that physicians not only need to learn the business of medicine in terms of insurance reimbursement,

and Medicare insurance reimbursement. But after surveying and after listening to you guys, I've decided to shift gears a little bit and bring season two to focus on practicing medicine the way you want to practice medicine. As providers, it's becoming more more difficult, especially post -COVID, getting staff.

looking and hiring new physicians, hiring team members. It's been really challenging, but there is, I believe, a light at the end of this tunnel of toughness. And that is helping physicians understand the business of medicine in terms of how to practice the way they want to practice. So my idea with season two is to bring physicians who are practicing independently, independent of corporate medicine.

Physicians who are running away from the hospital, running away from being employed by hospital systems and large medical corporations. I think there is a niche and I think there is room for physicians to do the things that they feel like they want to do in the practice of medicine without the influence of corporate medicine. So that's why we're here with season two.

Coach JPMD (02:24.43)
So my idea is to bring physicians who have been doing it and have been practicing direct medicine, who have been practicing concierge medicine and bring, give them a voice, give them the voice on the practice impossible podcast because that's what I want to do. I want to help physicians. Number one, decrease stress, increase revenue and help their populations live long. And the only way to do that is to understand the business of medicine.

not only in the Medicare Advantage world, but also in the fee for service world, the academic world, and in season two in the direct primary care realm. So I think we can do it. We can do it as a collective group of physicians who are like -minded, who want to do what's best for their patients. And...

I want to give you guys a voice also. So if you know anyone that is practicing freely and is practicing a powerful medicine, independent of the corporate world, shoot me an email, info at coachjpmd .com or go on our website practiceimpossible .com. And we'd love to hear you hear your voice and got a lot of great guests lined up. And it's all about helping you practice medicine the way you want to practice medicine.

but also enhancing the spiritual, mental and physical health of every provider out there. And that we're gonna do with the guests and stories and give, leave me some feedback if you wanna hear certain things, if you wanna hear certain guests, I'd love to hear from you. So leave a comment below and get ready for a great season. Practice Impossible.
